Peter Egner burst onto the Sydney comedy scene in the mid 90’s and quickly became the hottest new comic on the scene. He made several television appearances and before long he moved into writing for TV. Since then, Peter has written for nearly every Australian comedy show you could think of, except the news, I think Sandra Sully writes her own stuff.
Although Peter does most of his comedy work with a pen these, he has performed on every stage in Australia and his low key absurdism still makes him a favourite on the comedy circuit.
In 1999, under the advice from his friends, Wayne stepped on stage at the famous “Star and Garter” hotel in Melbourne and fell in love with comedy. He has now performed all around the country, appeared on both Television and Film and is a veteran of the Australian comedy scene.
In 2002, he won the FHM search for the “Funniest Bloke in Australia”, and was then showcased in the Melbourne Comedy Festival’s “Comedy Zone” in 2003.
He now resides in Sydney, and appears regularly in many television commercials and the odd film. His talents in improvisation and his quick witted likability has seen him among the highest sort after MC’s in Sydney.
