Nick Sun is the the hardest comedian in the world to sum up on paper and it’s not until after you have seen him perform that you understand why.
In 2004 Nick won Triple J’s “Raw Comedy” competition and went on to win Edinburgh “So you think you’re funny” later that year. The Adelaide Advertiser has called him “Offensive, and Nihilistic” and The Age has described his style as “unhinged surrealism” and “self destructive”.
He has been invited to perform at Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, won the Director’s Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and also been banned from countless comedy venues around the world.
He is fiercely intelligent, deeply philosophic and often dark and offensive in exactly the right way. He is not for the faint of heart or mind. It’s impossible to view the world the same after seeing him perform.
John Conway began in Raw comedy in 2008 and made it all the way to the National Finals. After that kicked around gigging in Perth, Western Australia, dying quite a bit. He then started the Fremantle’s Saturday night comedy show, Little Comedy, and got good at comedy. Little Comedy has played host to the best local, national and international comedians. With regular sell out shows, Little Comedy is still going strong in 2011 and has become a welcome staple of Fremantle’s night life.
In December 2009, invited to perform in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s “new talent” showcase. A yearly event, which purpose is to showcase the best new comedians in Australia to an audience of comedy industry professionals. And was nominated for the best new comer at the festival the following year.
In August 2010 John performed ‘The New Conway Show’ at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. The internet said it was “definitely entertaining”.
