Trevor Crook won Australian Comic of the Year in his first year of comedy, moving into TV the next year on Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Tonight Live with Steve Vizard and the Midday Show, before blazing the trail of Australian Comedy back to the UK, where he appeared on Live at Jongleurs and the BBC’s Stand Up Show. He divides his time between Australia and London.
He’s back for time in Sydney for a short time before he heads off to the other capital cities. Here is your chance to see why he is much loved over in the UK.
Nick Sun is the the hardest comedian in the world to sum up on paper and it’s not until after you have seen him perform that you understand why.
In 2004 Nick won Triple J’s “Raw Comedy” competition and went on to win Edinburgh “So you think you’re funny” later that year. The Adelaide Advertiser has called him “Offensive, and Nihilistic” and The Age has described his style as “unhinged surrealism” and “self destructive”.
He has been invited to perform at Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, won the Director’s Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and also been banned from countless comedy venues around the world.
He is fiercely intelligent, deeply philosophic and often dark and offensive in exactly the right way. He is not for the faint of heart or mind. It’s impossible to view the world the same after seeing him perform.
