Dave Jory & Tom Oakley
Dave Jory became a cult favourite on Triple J with a fake celebrity gossip segment (2006-2007) and then the brilliant segment called ‘I Love This Crowd’, where he performed listener’s jokes in a stand up club and played the recordings on-air.
In 2007, Dave was a finalist in Rove Live’s ‘Golden Nut Competition’, as well as being chosen as an Australian finalist for the popular NBC America program, ‘Last Comic Standing’. He has since appeared on television shows such as ‘The NRL Footy Show’, ‘Stand Up Australia’, ‘Joker Poker’, ‘Last Comic Standing’ and ‘The Mansion’ amongst others.
Dave is the author of the book, ‘I Know Everything’, which Hustler Magazine described as, ‘has the edge over Woody Allen’. He has also been a contributing writer for various magazines and TV shows, such as ‘The Glasshouse’ and ‘Stand Up Australia’.
Dave has worked with lots of great comics over the years, including being the opening act for Weird Al Yankovic, Arj Barker and Paulie Shore for their respective shows at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
He was voted one of Zoo Magazine’s ’10 Funniest Australian Comedians’, and is also an accomplished actor and writer. Dave’s stand-up act is relatable, light on profanity, and most of all, hilarious!
Tom Oakley is a stand up comic who has been throwing his comedic offerings on life, love, texting ladies and the trials of being a podiatrist in a brutal modern world around the Sydney Circuit since 2007.
Since moving to Sydney he has become a regular on the comedy circuit and also a regular on Australian Television. He has inappropriately groped one of Australia’s best loved soapy characters on Home and Away, and played a womenising yobo in a soon to be released tele-movie with Georgie Parker.
