Chistophe Davidson & Paul Hancock
After only a few years in comedy, Canadian Christophe Davidson landed a coveted spot at the 2007 Just For Laughs festival “Bubbling with Laughter” series, performing alongside some of the most talented comedians in the world. He’s also recorded a special for XM Radio, was a finalist in the 2008 Just For Laughs Montreal Homegrown Comic Competition, and after touring the U.S. and Canada, he is now touring Australia in 2011.
This bloke never gives up and he is constantly pushing himself as an artist. He brings a unique perspective from his femininely saturated childhood to the stage, mixing personal stories, observations, and a genuine concern for the giant rock we’re all living on.
Paul has done heaps of stuff and that. He has worked in radio because he didn’t like the idea of working 9-5, and 3 hours a day suited him just fine. He has worked for Nova for ages and if he says ‘never more than 2 ads in a row’ once more, he is going to punch himself.
He had fun though, and got to meet famous people – musicians like the Foo Fighters and porn stars like Tommy Lee. He somehow rated really well and then went to Perth because it’s sunny there. He thought he had the dream job until he did stand-up comedy. Then he realised that working a massive 3 hour day is silly, and he would rather a job where you only work for 30 minutes a day, and you can drink beer while you work.
Since starting comedy, he has had lots of fun, and venues keep inviting him back. Paul is happy, and now wants to do lots of comedy to make people laugh and so he can afford Oporto’s all the time.
