Sydney’s best stand up comedy, every Thursday.

This week:

Nick Sun

Nick Sun

Nick Sun is the the hardest comedian in the world to sum up on paper and it’s not until after you have seen him perform that you understand why.

In 2004 Nick won Triple J’s “Raw Comedy” competition and went on to win Edinburgh “So you think you’re funny” later that year. The Adelaide Advertiser has called him “Offensive, and Nihilistic” and The Age has described his style as “unhinged surrealism” and “self destructive”.

He has been invited to perform at Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, won the Director’s Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and also been banned from countless comedy venues around the world.

He is fiercely intelligent, deeply philosophic and often dark and offensive in exactly the right way. He is not for the faint of heart or mind. It’s impossible to view the world the same after seeing him perform.

Aaron Chen

Aaron Chen’s career is going places. From his humble beginnings as a ‘Class Clown Finalist’, onto ‘Comedy Zone’ and then winning the ‘2017 Best New Comer Award’ at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. And if that wasn’t enough, he was also the socially awkward sidekick on a quirky ABC TV show in early 2017.

In May 2017, he made national headlines when he trolled the soccer community on live TV as the sideline reporter at the friendly match between Sydney FC and Liverpool. He left the die-hard soccer fans scratching their heads, but floored everybody else with laughter at his covert brilliance.

He consistently delivers the freshest and most exquisite comedy that is out there at the moment.
This week, he won’t be trolling but he’s on stage at a mic in hand.

Bringing you a curated selection of beginners, semi-professionals and pros every week.
